When pairing your Joan account with the Office 365 German edition, it is important to note that the process requires using the Exchange calendar option instead of the standard Office 365 integration. This is due to the German edition’s unique endpoints.
To achieve this, please follow the steps below:
- 1. If the user account you are pairing was recently created with a temporary password, you must first update this password. Log in to the Outlook Web App at https://outlook.office.de/owa using the temporary password. Upon login, you will be prompted to set a new password. Complete this step before proceeding with the pairing process.
- After that has been done, you can continue with the onboarding process at MyJoan.
Since German Office365 has different endpoints you are required to select the Exchange calendar instead.
Here you are required to enter the following information:
Exchange Server URL: e.g. https://outlook.office.de/EWS/Exchange.asmx
Exchange Username/Email: e.g. joantest@yourdomain.onmicrosoft.de
Exchange password: <the password set for this user> - Pairing should be successful so you should be able to add room resources that this user has access to.
To give full read/write access to the user you wish to pair to the MyJoan account, please follow this guide: Delegated user
Please note, that you will likely need to use a different Exchange Admin Center URL (https://outlook.office.de/ecp/) and log in there with an admin account, so you will be able to delegate user rights correctly. - Once you’ve assigned the necessary permissions, it is recommended to wait a few hours to allow the rights to propagate across the system. After this period, you can manually add the desired room resources to the MyJoan account. If the delegated read and write access rights have been correctly applied, the room resources will appear in the list and will be available for use.
By following these steps carefully, you can successfully integrate your system account with the Office 365 German edition, ensuring full functionality and access to room resources.
