You are able to reconfigure Joan Home devices to display information and operate according to your specific requirements.
1. Setting device name
To configure your device name, enter the device management pane and click on the device you wish to name.
Use the “Name:” input box to enter a friendly device name that will allow you to find a device in a longer list of devices. Click Save to confirm.
2. Localization and Office hours
Localization and Office hours can be configured in the Settings > Household pane. It is possible to change the interface Language (25 languages and language variants supported), adjust the time format (AM/PM vs 24-hour) and set the timezone.
Office hours configure time of day that you want your Joan devices to be operational. Outside of this timeframe the device will be in sleep mode and conserving battery to further extend Joan’s power autonomy.
3. Modifying displayed information and fine tuning device operation
The information that is displayed on the device can be configured according to your preference. It is possible to hide meeting subject, organizer and tentative meetings.
Device operation - such as touch and audible notifications if touch is pressed can also be configured. You can disable the charging screen you prefer to charge the device during operation or if you would like to constantly power the unit.
For some noisy wi-fi environments it might be beneficial to disable the “no Wi-Fi” screen, but do note that noisy Wi-Fi environments will have a negative effect on the battery life.

Please keep in mind that the images will be displayed in a 16-bit grayscale color scheme on the Joan 6 and Joan 13 devices and that the supported image formats are .jpeg and .png.
Text allows you to input any additional information about the resource or notification for your coworkers and guests using standard text formatting options.
If your selected layout has more than one option, you can have any possible combination of the two content types.
Custom content is available for Joan Home devices and the images will be displayed in a 16-bit grayscale color scheme.
