How to add your devices

The Joan Visitor Management system can be installed on any tablet or iPad, giving you the flexibility to offer ad-hoc check-ins at the reception.

How to add a tablet?

In order to efficiently use the easy check-in process, you need to pair a tablet to your account. The system can be installed on any tablet or iPad. You can download the Joan Workplace Management application via Google Play or the Apple Store.

After you have successfully downloaded the Joan Workplace Management application, you are ready to pair your device!

  1.  Log in to office.getjoan.com
  2. Navigate to Settings and click Visitors in the left-hand menu
  3. Click the section Devices
  4. Click Pair a device and select Tablet
  5. Set the tablet's name and location
  6. Select the associated printer, if you are using one. If you have not set up a badge printer yet, please check the second part of this article
  7. Enter the PIN code that is displayed on the tablet and click Pair device

How to add a printer?

Badge printers are an essential part of your visitation process. The visitor badges will signal to employees that the visitor has taken the proper steps to enter the facility and that administration is aware of their presence. 

The supported printer types are Brother QL-710W, QL-720NW, QL-820NWB and QL-810WC.

Please note that some of these printers may go into sleep mode, so make sure to adjust the printer's settings accordingly.

To add a new printer to your account, follow the steps below:

  1.  Log in to office.getjoan.com
  2. Navigate to Settings and click Visitors in the left-hand menu
  3. Click the section Devices
  4. Click Pair a device and select Printer
  5. Select the printer type and name your printer
  6. Choose a connection method (WiFi or Ethernet)
  7. Enter the printer's IP address (check your printer's settings for its information)
  8. Click Pair device
