The cloud service is our most simple integration of Joan and your calendar. It means that the thin client Joan devices will connect to your calendar by running in the cloud, supported by the Visionect Software Suite.
No worries: you will be able to switch from the cloud to on-premises at any time.
We offer the hosted version for the fastest out of the box experience for our customers that do not have dedicated in-house IT. This means that you don’t have to worry about server setup and maintenance: all you have to do is connect your Joan device with the calendar solution your organization is using, and we’ll take care of the rest, making sure you always have the best Joan experience.
Companies that might decide on Joan in the cloud are either not that large – requiring only a few Joan devices and saving on the cost of a dedicated engineer – or understand the benefits of the Software as a Service (SaaS) approach.
A monthly price of €8.99 per device for Joan Executive and Joan Manager is charged to host Joan on our server infrastructure.
The cloud subscription for Joan Board, Joan Premium, and Joan Classroom is €14.99 monthly/device.

You will set up your billing details when connecting Joan to your calendar after you have selected the type of hosting. You can edit your billing details at any time, by logging into the Joan Portal and selecting User Settings > Subscription details.
When first connecting Joan to your calendar, you will be able to select the data center that is to support Joan's functionality. This setting takes place when connecting Joan to your Wi-Fi, in the Joan Configurator.
We have data centers in western and eastern United States, as well as in western Europe. Should you decide to move to a different data center, later on, you will need to reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings of your Joan devices to reflect the change.
Joan opens a persistent TCP connection on port 11113, which might need a firewall exclusion on your side.
